Indian Summer Festival Returns to Panama City Beach, Oct. 12-14

Popular Outdoor Festival to Feature Performances by John Michael Montgomery, Little Texas, Trent Tomlinson, and More

Panama City Beach, FL (Sept. 10, 2007) – One of Panama City Beach’s most popular outdoor festivals returns, Fri. – Sun., Oct. 12 - 14, with three days of music, crafts, games, culinary delights, and more. The event will feature country stars John Michael Montgomery, Little Texas, and Trent Tomlinson along with rock bands Iron Butterfly and Rare Earth.

One of the Southeast’s largest festivals, Indian Summer Festival draws thousands of travelers and locals annually. The Festival, now in its 27th year, returns to Frank Brown Park, 16200 Panama City Beach Parkway (Back Beach Road). Admission is $10.00/adult per day and $5.00/per day for children under the age of 12 (4 and under free). Here’s an overview of this year’s lineup.

Music – John Michael Montgomery headlines this year’s festival with other performances by Little Texas, Trent Tomlinson, Rare Earth, and Iron Butterfly. John Michael Montgomery is a winner of the Academy of Country Music Top New Male Vocalist award and boasts 15 #1 hits. The festival features music throughout the day by popular local and regional entertainers as well as nightly performances by nationally acclaimed artists. Performances take place on two stages, the expansive Royal American Hospitality Concert Stage, and the Florida Lottery performance stage.

Food – Music isn’t Indian Summer Festival’s only draw. Stroll through Frank Brown Park, and discover why Panama City Beach is known as the “Seafood Capital of the World.” Tents from local restaurants fill the park grounds, offering a vast selection of fresh local favorites. Indulge in grilled shrimp, seafood gumbo, grilled pompano, fried grouper, broiled scallops, buttery crab and lobster. Arts, Crafts & Fun –This year’s festival will feature a Fine Arts exhibition area. More than 50 artists and craftsman from all over the Southeast will display their one-of-a-kind creations, from hand-decorated clothing and jewelry to painted woodwork and pottery. Plus, children enjoy Sponge Bob Square Pants, a bungee jump, pony rides, clowns, face painting, and karaoke on the Florida Lottery performance stage.
