Panama City Beach Revs Up For Second Annual Emerald Coast Cruizin'

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (October 19, 2006) – Panama City Beach shifts family fun into overdrive with the 2nd Annual Emerald Coast Cruizin’ classic auto show. Thousands of classic cars and hot rods glitter in the sun as proud owners show off their “labors of love” during this one-of-a-kind event, Wednesday, Nov. 8, through Saturday, Nov. 11, at Frank Brown Park. A “must” for auto-lovers and their families, Emerald Coast Cruizin’ offers a full lineup of activities for participants and spectators alike.

The main event takes place at Frank Brown Park and features an endless array of auto showmanship. Motor enthusiasts can stroll among thousands of cars on display, from restored classics of yesteryear to the latest custom hot rods and high-tech sports cars. At the vendor marketplace and swap meet, visitors can shop for everything from hubcaps to headlights and unique auto accessories to fit any make and model.

Visitors with a flair for local flavor can sample fresh seafood and other culinary delights offered by favorite area restaurants. Discover why Panama City Beach is known as the “Seafood Capital of the World.” Live musical performances by Jordan Harrison and Bill Brooks are among the entertainment highlights, and special games, prize drawings and activities provide four days of fun-in-the-sun for the entire family.

The $35 advance or $40 day-of-show entrance fee includes a kick-off welcome party at the legendary Capt. Anderson’s restaurant, as well as admission to nightly events at local resorts and area businesses. Registrants will also parade their rides down Front Beach Road in a “Cruise for the Cash,” visiting local hot spots to gain eligibility for cash drawings along the way. Admission for spectators is $6 per day, or $12 for a three-day pass, with children under the age of 12 admitted free. Price of admission also includes free entrance to all show-related special events and nightly parties listed in the event program.
